Why this exists

This book began as a question I could not answer to my own satisfaction: if privacy is a property of money rather than a feature bolted onto it, which money actually has it — and how would you check?

I hold EPIC, and I have for years. Assume that colours everything here, then check the work anyway. Every number in this book is either arithmetic, visible on a public chain, or attributed to a named source with a date.

I have also been wrong about timing, repeatedly. The argument is meant to stand without me: a test sharp enough to settle the question without the author in the room.
